Greene Shoots Theatre specialise in adapting classic texts for large ensemble-style casts. Pieces are performed using a number of acting techniques including physical theatre, mime and chorus work. In our latest pieces, we have also included elements of slapstick and clowning. Based in Berkhamsted in Herts, we have also performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe over a number of years, where reviewers have described our work as follows:"mesmerising adaptation... impeccable cast... slick chorus of talented individuals"                      Three Weeks (2003)"the young cast performs with verve and passion... it makes an impact"               Counter Culture Magazine (2003)"embraces the farcical elements in the play with gusto... cohesive design, well chosen music and an enthusiastic cast"              Three Weeks (2006)

"This adaptation uses music and physical theatre to create an exciting visual performance.... the effect was to produce a very modern and watchable interpretation. ... Their performance was energetic and very entertaining. Their comic timing was excellent and it was very much an ensemble. "   Counter Culture Magazine (2006)

Our current production is a new adaptation of The Venetian Twins (Goldoni) which premiered in The Deans' Hall, Berkhamsted. The show is due to run at the Edinburgh Festival from 15th - 21st August 2010 at 11.15 a.m. C, Venue 34, at Adam House, Chambers Street, Edinburgh.
